  Legend of the Christmas Wreath

A circular wreath is an emblem of Christmas.  Perfection & Unity.

The shape of a circle has no beginning & no ending, representing the eternal nature of a god's love & the circle of life.

The holly wreath first symbolized Christ's suffering & ultimate triumph over death.

Its sharp pointed leaves resemble the crown of thorns worn by Jesus on the cross.  The red berries represent drops of His blood.

Wreaths were later formed using evergreen bough, which remain green & colorful in the winter.

Evergreen is used to represent immortality, the strength of life & that Jesus has eternal life.
